Rovers to appeal stadium ruling
Bristol Rovers confirmed they will appeal the high court decision which allowed Sainsbury’s to cancel its contract to buy the Memorial Ground.
Rovers need the supermarket to go through with its contract to trigger a move to a new stadium at UWE.
A judge ruled Sainsbury’s had the right to pull out after a disagreement over delivery times.

The club released a statement on Saturday saying: “The club can confirm it will apply for leave to appeal the Sainsbury’s judgment with Mrs Justice Proudman at the High Court in London on Friday July 31.
Following her ruling which was announced on Monday, the club’s legal team have advised us we have positive grounds on which to appeal.”
The legal row has already cost the club over £1 million. The club is also liable to pay some of the costs from the High Court hearing.
