Schoolboy hospitalised after being stabbed by fellow pupil
A schoolboy was stabbed in the torso during half-term in an incident between pupils at the same school.
The boy was stabbed close to the school they attend, Redland Green School, where the headteacher and staff are offering support to all students affected by what has happened.
The stabbing happened on the evening of October 29, after which the boy was taken to hospital. He has since been released and is recovering from his injuries.

An Avon & Somerset police spokesperson said that a police investigation is ongoing after the boy in his teens was assaulted in the Cranbrook Road area of Redland.
The spokesperson said: “The victim was taken to hospital after sustaining a puncture wound to his torso following an altercation with two boys at about 10.50pm. He has since been released from hospital and is recovering.
“Two boys in their teens were arrested in connection with the incident and have been released under investigation.
“It is thought this was an isolated incident in which the victim and offender(s) were known to each other.
“However, the neighbourhood policing team will conducting reassurance patrols in the area over the coming days.”

In an email to parents from Redland Green School headteacher, Louise Blundell, she said that support to all students from Year 7 to Year 11 “will be available and on-going”.
“As some of you may be aware, during the half term holiday a serious incident occurred within the Redland Green locality involving a small group of our students. Since being made aware, we have been liaising with the relevant external agencies and supporting those students and parents directly affected.
“If you or your child have been affected and would like further support, please don’t hesitate to contact us either by email via your child’s year lead… or ask your child to speak with their Wellbeing Lead or their Year Lead directly. Support will be available and on-going.”
A Redland Green School spokesman told Bristol24/7: “At Redland Green School we take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously.
“Over the weekend, we were made aware of an incident that took place during half term, in which one of our students was injured.
“Our thoughts are with the injured student and their family. We are supporting the students and parents affected by this incident and will continue to do so.
“We are also liaising with all of the relevant external agencies during this time.”
