Serious assault outside Park Row nightclub

By Ellie Pipe  Monday Oct 15, 2018

A man has been left with serious injuries following an assault outside Dojo club in the early hours of Sunday morning.

What was initially reported to police as a mass brawl involving around 30 people now appears to have been an isolated incident that happened in a doorway next to the Park Row venue at around 4.30am.

A 30-year-old man sustained serious injuries and is receiving hospital treatment.

Police first appealed for witnesses to a major fracas, but a force spokesman said that, having reviewed CCTV, officers “established a man was assaulted in an isolated incident in a doorway next to the club.”

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them on 101, quoting the crime reference 5218229920. Alternatively, contact Crimestopppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 online via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
