Serious sexual assault in Castle Park

Police are investigating after a woman was the victim of a serious sexual assault in Castle Park.

The attack happened at around 4.15am on Wednesday and officers have cordoned off a large area around the public toilets and footpath to The Galleries while forensic examinations take place.

Police have confirmed an investigation is now underway.
