Shaun fever hits Japan

By Josh Dyer  Thursday Jul 9, 2015

Both Bristol and London have now seen Shaun in the City trails. What you may not know is that a Shaun trail has also already taken place in Japan.

Seven Shaun sculptures designed and painted by Japanese artists were placed last month in the Tokyu Plaza Omotesando shopping centre.

Anime director Hideaki Anno, manga comic designer Moyoco Anno and manga character designer Yuko Yamaguchi all helped paint the as sculptures as part of Shaun in Japan.

The global appeal of the animated sheep could mean that the trail in Tokyo could be only the first of many worldwide for Shaun.

The shopping centre also raised money for a children’s hospital in Tokyo by selling special Shaun the Sheep themed food.
