Shortlisted nominations for Bristol Diversity Awards 2019 announced
The nominations shortlist for this year’s Bristol Diversity Awards, the city’s celebration of inclusivity, have been announced.
Started in 2017 by BCfm Radio, the event is now organised by E-Com Media. Over 30 awards covering all aspects of diversity will be given out and winners will be voted by a specially selected panel of judges.
Thousands of nominations were received this year, increasing by 70 per cent on 2018. Categories include positive role models, awards for non-profit organisations and diverse media outlets, which Bristol24/7 is nominated for in the publication category.

Professor Jane Harrington, deputy vice-chancellor at UWE, a sponsor of the award ceremony, says: “The Bristol Diversity Awards are a testament to the passion and commitment across Bristol to creating a truly inclusive city that celebrates and benefits from its diversity. I would like to pass on our congratulations to the nominees, and I look forward to hearing more about their inspirational stories.”
