Sikh volunteers deliver meals to Bristol NHS staff
Members of Bristol’s Sikh community are among the many stepping up to help support NHS staff through the coronavirus crisis.
A group of volunteers donned personal protective equipment and delivered 150 homemade meals to workers at Bristol Royal Infirmary and Southmead Hospital on Wednesday in what they say will now be a weekly donation during the pandemic.
“In these uncertain and stressful times, it’s important to recognise that Bristol communities crucially need each other for support to stabilise us through the pandemic,” explains Dilawer Potiwal, one of the volunteers.
