Stegosaurus poster girl sought by museum
The Natural History Museum has launched a twitter search for a Bristol girl, who won a competition to design a poster back in the 1980s.
In 1981 14-year-old Amanda Taylor’s design, of a stegosaurus with birthday candles along its back, won a national competition, run by Blue Peter, to mark the museum’s centenary.
After digging in the archives the museum unearthed the poster and now wants to find her.
is needed now More than ever
Amy Freeborn, from the Natural History Museum, told the BBC they have “just unveiled a new stegosaurus skeleton at the museum” and after discovering the “picture quite recently” the museum thought it would be “fitting we track this person down.”
The museum is “keeping its fingers crossed” as the only information they have is that the poster was designed by Amanda Taylor from Bristol in 1981.
