Stockwood gang attack arrest

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a gang attack in Bristol.

A man in his 30s, was seriously assaulted by the group of men on Sturminster Road in Stockwood on Sunday morning.

He is in a ‘serious but stable condition’ in hospital with injuries to his hand and head.

Avon and Somerset Police said the assault was an isolated incident and in a statement have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson said: “We would like to take this opportunity to further appeal for anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

“Any information, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, could prove crucial to this investigation.”

Anybody who can help is asked to call the police on 101 and quote log number 275 of 28/8.
