Sue Mountstevens restands for PCC job
Sue Mountstevens has announced that she will be restanding as an independent candidate for the Avon and Somerset Police & Crime Commissioner elections in May 2016.
Committed to “keeping politics out of policing”, Mountstevens stresses the importance of supporting the vulnerable and listening to the quite voices, despite budgets becoming smaller.
She believes that her reelection would place more attention on stronger neighbourhood police teams, more focus on tackling child sexual exploitation, helping those who suffer from domestic and sexual violence, detecting cybercrime and road safety.

In November 2012 Mountstevens beat her Conservative opponent Ken Maddock with 125,704 votes.
The election will take place on May 5 2016, alongside mayoral and council elections in Bristol.
