Takayo Nembhard stabbed to death at Notting Hill Carnival
A rapper and father-to-be from Bristol was stabbed to death at Notting Hill Carnival on Monday.
Takayo Nembhard, known as TKorStretch, travelled from Fishponds to the event in west London when he was attacked in Ladbroke Grove at around 8pm.
Police and paramedics gave the 21-year-old emergency first aid at the scene before he was taken to hospital.

Takayo’s girlfriend Oshian Edwards, who is pregnant, shared her heartbreak over his death, writing: ‘Takayo my sweet beautiful boy, all I can ask is why over and over again. You was the most kind hearted, loving ,funny and caring person.
“I’m sat here with sore eyes and a heavy heart as I’ve cried consistently for the last 12 hours while carrying your unborn son.
“I will remind him daily about how great you were as a son, brother, boyfriend and friend too!”
The London-born artist’s passing was confirmed by his manager, Chris Patrick, who wrote: “He went to Carnival with his younger sister and friends to have a good time. This is the worst possible ending for a talented kid.”

Takayo was a former youth team player at Bristol Rovers but quit football when an injury forced him to stop playing aged 16.
The club issued a statement, writing: “Bristol Rovers are deeply saddened to learn of the death of former academy player Takayo Nembhard.
“The club would like to pass on its condolences to Takayo’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
The young man also worked for Bristol City Council as a plumbing apprentice before leaving to focus on drill music, amassing more than a million views on his YouTube videos and performing at Love Saves The Day in 2021.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he had been “sickened by this awful attack”.
He added: “Violence has no place on our streets and we are doing everything in our power to root it out. I urge anyone with information to contact the police on 101 or anonymously by Crimestoppers. There is no honour in staying silent.”
Dr Alison Heydari, commander of local policing at the Metropolitan Police, said there were hundreds of people in the immediate vicinity under the Westway flyover when the stabbing took place.
She said: “A murder investigation is under way, led by homicide detectives from the Met’s specialist crime command.
“They will pursue every possible line of enquiry to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
Police said 209 arrests had been made by early Tuesday, including 46 for assault, 36 for possession of drugs, 33 for possession of an offensive weapon, 27 public order offences and eight sexual assaults.
Notting Hill Carnival typically attracts an estimated two million people to the streets of west London.
