Take a virtual tour of Parliament with Bristol MP
The MP for Bristol North West is set to give the future generation a unique insight into life in politics – virtually of course.
Darren Jones would usually join pupils from the city’s schools on visits to Westminster but with the country on lockdown, he is bringing the historic buildings to life with a live online tour and Q&A session.

“Most Fridays I visit schools to answer pupils questions. I thought I’d help out parents in Bristol by trying to keep the kids entertained for an hour doing the same, but online,” he tells Bristol24/7.
The virtual tour and live session will take place on Thursday, March 26 at 2pm.
Jones went into self-isolation on Monday, March 16 after members of his family showed symptoms of coronavirus, but he has – like most of the country – still been working from home.
On Wednesday, the MP for Bristol North West paid tribute to Jeremy Corbyn after the veteran politician took part in his final Prime Minister’s Questions as Labour leader.
To take part in the live online session, people will need to log in with their own Facebook account. Children (and adults) will then be able to watch an online tour of Parliament and take part in the Q&A by writing questions in the video comment box. Visit: www.facebook.com/events/1035582910158929
