Theresa May confronted by angry crowds in Brislington

There were angry scenes in Brislington on Tuesday evening as prime minister Theresa May visited Hungerford Community Centre.

Protesters shouted and gesticulated as May’s strong and stable car pulled away from the centre on Hungerford Road, in the Bristol East constituency of Labour MP Kerry McCarthy.

The protesters did not please local Tory councillor Tony Carey, who branded them “idiots” in a post on the Brislington Community Partnership Facebook page.

Bristol24/7 had not been invited to the event, but fortunately the Bristol Post were in attendance: “she says rather than taking acvtion after interference, the Government has been working to make sure no-one can interfere with the election.”

That’s clear then.
