BRANDON HILL BEER FESTIVAL: Try loads of tasty beers and ciders from four outstanding pubs: The Bag of Nails, The Lime Kiln, The Three Tuns and The Hope & Anchor. This is the first day of the festival that takes place until Sunday.

BOURNEMOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA: Watch Karl-Heinz Steffens conduct the works of Wagner, Schumann and Elgar. 7.30pm, Colston Hall.

THE MARKED: International company Theatre Témoin return with their new play, inspired by real-life stories of homelessness. 8pm, Tobacco Factory Theatres, £13/£9. Ages 12+.

A SPARK AND A BEATING HEART: Firebird Theatre tell the story of each performer’s life, intertwined with the myth of the Firebird. 2pm & 7pm, Trinity, £12/£8

LOST: A trio of off kilter new comedies by locals Moondog Productions. 8pm, Alma Tavern Theatre, £10/£8
