Top Gear production to move to Bristol from 2022
One of the BBC’s biggest global hits is moving its production team to Bristol from 2022.
The 33rd series of Top Gear will be the first to be produced solely from Bristol when the team move from their current London base next spring.
The BBC said the move would “create a number of openings for editorial and production management personnel based in the nations and regions”.

Top Gear will join the roster of shows already made by BBC Studios in Bristol including Antiques Roadshow, Countryfile and DIY SOS.
Currently made at the BBC’s base on Whiteladies Road, it is likely that by the time Top Gear arrives, BBC Studios will be based at Finzels Reach.

Hannah Wyatt, BBC Studios’ managing director for factual entertainment and events productions, said: “Our Bristol hub is an already incredibly successful and vibrant production base that makes many of our highly popular returning factual entertainment series and blue-chip natural history titles.
“So the Top Gear team will be in very good creative company. It’s an exciting move for the show.”
