Tribute to man who fell from Avon Gorge
Police have released on bail a 23-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder, following the death of a man who fell from the Avon Gorge.
Officers were called to Circular Road on Clifton Down at 7.30pm on Saturday after reports a man had fallen.
The body of 28-year-old Jamie Tipper, from Old Market, was found near the Portway.

Police said a post-mortem examination has found his injuries were consistent with a fall.
Jamie’s family have released a picture of him holding his niece Kalayah-Rose.
In a statement they said: “We, Paul & Debra Tipper (Jamie’s parents) and family are sad to report the tragic loss of our son and brother Jamie Tipper who fell to his death on the evening of 20th Dec 2014.
“Jamie will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him, especially his twin brother Craig, brothers Daniel, Ben, Ross, and sister Amy.
“We would all appreciate time to come to terms with our loss.”
An appeal for witnesses has been made for anyone who was in the Clifton Downs or Circular Road area at the time.
