Actors Aidan Turner, David Tennant, Katherine Parkinson, Alex Hassell and Emily Atack have all been spotted filming a new TV show in the Old City.

The star-studded cast were shooting on Corn Street outside Harbour Hotel for Rivals, an upcoming Disney+ series, with parts of the street cordoned by film crews.

Dozens of actors wore suits and dresses for a red carpet scene that appeared to relate to the British Television Awards.

Rivals is an adaptation of the 1988 Jilly Cooper novel of the same name exploring the cut throat world of independent TV in 1986.

The eight-part saga follows Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell) and Tony Baddingham (David Tennant) as they have a longstanding rivalry that comes to a head.

It was first production to use TBY2, a new facility at The Bottle Yard Studios in Hengrove.
