Tweet revealing flights costing less than tickets to Temple Meads goes viral
After Tory grandee John Redwood suggested that people stay in the UK for their holidays in order to avoid the shambles at Dover, one woman shared the prices of a return ticket from Newcastle to Temple Meads compared to the prices of flights from Newcastle Airport.
“me and my bf want to go to bristol for the weekend” tweeted @leechwaifu in response to John Redwood, sharing a screengrab of prices for tickets arriving into Bristol on June 30 and leaving two days later.
The tweet has since been deleted but not before it had been viewed by more than one million people.
