Two boys hospitalised after being hit by car

Two boys have been hospitalised with serious leg injuries after being struck by a car.

Police and ambulance crews rushed to the collision at the junction of Somerdale Avenue and Newquay Road in Knowle West at 7.36pm on Saturday.

The 13 and 14-year-old, who were believed to be riding the same bike, were taken to hospital where they continue to receive treatment.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and spoke to officers.

Enquiries into the incident, which include a review of CCTV from the area, are ongoing.
