Two teenagers bailed over stabbing
Two teenagers were arrested after a 41-year-old man was stabbed in Winterbourne at the weekend.
The 16- and 17-year-old boys were released on bail following the incident on Starbarn Road at 12.20am on Sunday.
The victim was taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment, although police say his injuries were not life threatening or life changing.
DI Dominic Graham said: “A team of detectives have been working on this investigation over the weekend.
“We know this incident may cause concern in the local community but I’d like to assure people we believe it to be an isolated one.”
“We’re carrying out a full inquiry to establish what happened and as part of that we’ve arrested and questioned two boys.
“We’re now also appealing for the public’s help and would like to speak to anyone who was in the Starbarn Road area of Winterbourne around the time of the assault.
