Ukrainian day to be held at the Tobacco Factory
A fundraising event is taking place on Saturday to raise money, support and awareness for those suffering due to conflict in Ukraine.
Kicking off at 10am, the Tobacco Factory will host sales of cakes, clothes, artwork and ephemera in addition to the regular Sunday market which spills out into Raleigh Road.
From 11am, there will be children’s activities including playing Ukrainian films throughout the day.

In the afternoon, there is set to be live music and singing on stage continuing until the evening.
There will also be information for Ukrainians in Bristol and a plea for those with spare space in their homes to become hosts.

Former mayor George Ferguson said: “Bristol is stepping up to the mark with its hospitality and the feedback we have been receiving from those Ukrainians who are already here is very positive.
“We are keen to play our part with the sense of fun that we approach everything as well as make a worthwhile contribution to the two charities we are supporting on the day.“
