Urgent appeal for missing mother and newborn

A mother and her four-day-old baby have gone missing from a Bristol hospital.

30-year-old Charlotte Bevan left St Michael’s Hospital just after 9pm on Tuesday. Police say she is not wearing any shoes and they have serious concern for the welfare of her baby.

Officers are searching the area near to the hospital in Kingsdown but are asking for help.

Charlotte is white, about 5ft 8ins tall, of average build with dark wavy hair.

She is thought to be wearing a black top and black trousers, but is not wearing a coat. Police say she may appear confused and worried. Her baby is not dressed for the cold weather.

Police are asking anyone who spots Charlotte and her baby to call 999 immediately.
