Victim left with a number of wounds on his face after being seriously assaulted

A man has sustained multiple face injuries after being attacked.

The serious assault is believed to have taken place between 5.15 and 5.30pm on Tuesday.

A police cordon was in place on Hepburn Road area of Stokes Croft following the incident.

The man went to hospital with paramedics and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said people can expect to see increased police activity in the area as enquiries continue.

Witnesses or anyone who has any information are being asked to contact police on 101 and quote reference number 5222257101.
