Stunning Suspension Bridge firework display
Thousands of people watched a spectacular firework display which lit up the sky above the Clifton Suspension Bridge on Sunday night.
The 12-minute display, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the bridge, was one of the biggest Bristol has ever seen.
It marked the beginning of a two-day celebration of Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s world famous bridge which first opened to the public on December 8, 1864.
is needed now More than ever
If you missed the celebrations, or just want to enjoy it again, here’s a video of the whole display from start to finish.
The night started with a minute silence to remember Charlotte Bevan and her daughter whose bodies were found close to the bridge earlier this week.
8-year-old Harry Bessant, who was born on the bridge, started the display.
A “modest re-enactment” of the opening celebrations 150 years ago will take place on Monday afternoon.
