Video: Striking teachers say ‘enough is enough’
Thousands of teachers and support staff took part in strike action on Thursday amid a long-running dispute over pay and conditions.
In Bristol, National Education Union (NEU) members from across the South West staged a protest march around the city centre and a rally at College Green. One primary school teacher said she was “exhausted”, taking industrial action “because we want to do our job”.
Education secretary Gillian Keegan said last week the government has made a “serious offer” to the NEU and is disappointed the strikes are going ahead.
