Video: Watch this balloon’s narrow escape

This hot air balloon had a lucky escape on Saturday morning as it flew over Long Ashton:

The pilot of the Cameron Balloons-branded balloon looks as if they released too much air, sending the balloon into a steep descent which couldn’t be stopped.

Despite frantic attempts to gain some height with the burners, the balloon still crashes into the trees with a crunch of branches before fortunately rising again – with a bit of a wobble to show for its troubles.

For the first time ever, all seven mass ascents took place at this year’s Balloon Fiesta.
