Virtual reality gaming comes to Cabot Circus

By Jess Browne-Swinburne  Friday Dec 15, 2017

As you plug yourself into this powerfully realistic new virtual reality world in Cabot Circus, it soon becomes clear whether or not you’re cut out for the bumpy ride.

Bristol is now home to the UK’s first VR Star, bringing the opportunity to try out five different virtual reality experiences from racing cars to undersea exploration.

“The launch of our first centre in Bristol is hugely exciting,” VR Star operations manager Arek Antoniak said.

“If you have only ever experienced VR at home or a quick demo in a shop, then you are going to be blown away by our platforms.

“They engage all your senses to create something that is genuinely immersive and thrilling.”

The Moto and The Racer bring you high speed race tracks, as you cruise through Death Valley or another galaxy on your chosen vehicle, dodging obstacles and picking up superpowers.

While a comfortable seat in the eggs will take you on a much calmer deep sea journey, as you look for treasure amongst the underwater world.

The Fire and The Katwalk, brightly lit with neon red, provide you with more of an interactive experience.

Find VR Star on the second floor of Cabot Circus next to Starbucks and opposite Jungle Rumble. For more information and to book a session from £20 per person for 30 minutes, visit www.vrstar.co.uk.
