Why was Gary Barlow in Cabot Circus?

The reason why Gary Barlow performed to unsuspecting shoppers at Bristol’s Cabot Circus has been revealed:

It was to promote the launch of a new BBC One Saturday night show in which Gary is looking for five people to perform the songs of Take That in a new musical.

Nationwide auditions for Let It Shine will take place from next month, with filming for the series happening from September and the musical to open in September 2017 then tour nationwide.
