Woman killed on motorway slip road

A pedestrian was killed in the early hours of New Year’s Day after being hit by two vehicles.

The incident happened in Eastville on one of the slip roads of the M32 with the woman pronounced dead at the scene.

Police closed the slip way close to Stapleton Road for much of Saturday morning while carrying out investigations.

In a statement, Avon & Somerset police said: “We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on Junction 2 of the M32 in Bristol this morning (Saturday, 1 January).

“A pedestrian, a woman, was struck by two vehicles on the southbound slip road at around 2.15am and tragically died at the scene.”
