World class lineup of speakers for Vision 2017 in Bristol

By Ellie Pipe  Monday Nov 13, 2017

A lineup of world class innovators, entrepreneurs and inspirational thinkers from across the globe are set to shake up the status quo in Bristol for Vision 2017.

Now in its sixth year, the region’s answer to the world famous South by Southwest (SXSW) in Texas further cements the city’s position at the forefront of creativity and technology – from the next digital revolution, to diversity, Virtual Reality (VR) storytelling and more.

With a brief to challenge, inspire and drive transformational thinking, the one-day event takes place at the Anson Rooms on Tuesday, November 14, and brings together more than 300 creative business professionals from the worlds of advertising, digital marketing, design, publishing, PR, TV and VR under one roof.

Vision 2017 will cement Bristol’s position as a hub of digital technology and creative thinking

“Vision has become a beacon to inspire those who work in our creative sector and it confirms Bristol’s place on the world map as a centre for creativity and innovation,” says Caroline Marshall of Bristol Media, who produce the event.

“Once again, we have been able to secure an incredible line up of visionary speakers who are set to inspire delegates, open minds and potentially change the way they run their businesses.”

Blair Enns

Keynotes speakers, Win Without Pitching founder Blair Enns, futurist Tracey Follows and Tarek Nseir, co-president of the British Interactive Media Association, set the bar for a day of talks that aim to push boundaries and inspire new ways of doing business.

Ali Hanan

Other speakers include multi-award winning Jim Sutherland, founder of Studio Sutherl&, Anna Rafferty, global director of digital marketing at BBC Worldwide and Ali Hanan, founder and CEO of Creative Equals, an organisation working to drive diversity, plus many more.

Merle Hall, managing director at Kinneir Dufort, a world-leading Bristol-based partner in innovation, design and product development says: “Vision 2017 is a must for anyone in the UK creative and design sectors, it’s a hugely informative and inspirational event.

“The speakers are world class, providing thought-provoking challenges to the norm and often deliver left of centre talks which you don’t hear anywhere else. This is much needed for creatives everywhere particularly when developing the ultimate end user, consumer experience regardless of product or service. You won’t be disappointed.”

VR story-telling is part of the packed programme

Renowned Bristol chef, Josh Eggleton, from the award-winning Pony and Trap, will be providing catering for the event.

Tickets cost £185+VAT for Bristol Media members and non-members tickets cost £245+VAT. For more information and tickets, visit: www.bristolmedia.co.uk/vision/vision-tickets.
