World first for Gromit Unleashed 2 trail
Gromit Unleashed 2 will become the first charity arts trail in the world to incorporate contactless donation points.
There will be 17 contactless donation points throughout this summer’s trail which will allow people to donate £2, £5 or £10 to the the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity The Grand Appeal.
The technology for the initiative comes from Creditcall, whose UK headquarters are on Wapping Road close to the M Shed.

The Grand Appeal director Nicola Masters said: “The babies and children cared for by the expert teams at Bristol Children’s Hospital sit right at the heart of our popular arts trails, so we’re really excited to see the difference that contactless donations can make to our fundraising for them.”
Ingrid Anusic, senior vice president of marketing of Creditcall, added: “We’re so proud to support a fantastic charity that raises millions for the vital Bristol Children’s Hospital.
“Contactless is fast becoming the public’s preferred payment method and together with Payter, our expertise in this space will make a uniquely valuable contribution to a cause very close to our hearts, right on our doorstep.”
