World’s smallest tall ship sails into Bristol

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Jul 16, 2019

The world’s smallest tall ship has sailed into Bristol ahead of the 2019 Harbour Festival.

The 9m-long brig, designed to introduce sailors to the challenges of sailing a tall ship, will be taking to the water for the duration of this year’s festival from July 19 to 21.

The Bob Allen was designed by naval architect and yacht designer Colin Mudie, and was previously operated by Isle of Wight charity Little Brig Sailing Trust.

It is the first boat to arrive in the city for Bristol Harbour Festival, which this year will feature both familiar favourites and new attractions, filling the docks with three and a half miles of vessels, food markets, circus acts, live music and performers.
