Young Bristol marks 90th birthday with new fundraising campaign
A charity that supports children and young people has launched a new fundraising campaign to buy a bus acting as a mobile youth club.
The bus will travel to hard-to-reach communities in Bristol which receive little or no support to help their youngest residents.
Young Bristol has supported thousands of young people since it was founded in 1928.
is needed now More than ever
The campaign to raise £90,000 for a bus was launched as the charity celebrated its 90th birthday at Sea Mills Youth Club, with former world champion boxer Glenn Catley, who benefited from the charity’s work as a young person, cutting a cake to mark the occasion

What Young Bristol’s new youth bus could look like
Generations have been helped by the charity, which has 15 clubs around the city.
In their 90th year, Young Bristol are endeavouring to extend this good work even further by reaching children and young people in areas not currently covered by a youth club with a mobile version.
Charity bosses hope that the ‘youth bus’ will provide children in disadvantaged and hard-to-reach areas with social, creative multi-media, sports, indoor and outdoor projects and activities.
As well as a social space, young people will be able to have help with their homework, learn more about healthy eating and build friendships in a safe environment.
