A fabulous February 29 marriage proposal

By Bristol24/7  Monday Feb 29, 2016

Molly Gibney made sure that she was completely ready to propose on the one day in four years that a woman can traditionally ask a man for his hand in marriage.

At the stroke of midday on what Twitter is now calling #leapday, she showed her boyfriend Paul five black and white photographs of her standing at various Bristol locations that are significant to the pair.

These included King Street, St Andrew’s Park and Cafe Amore, with Molly holding cards containing the words ‘Will you marry me?’ in each photo.

“We’ve talked about marriage a lot,” Molly told the BBC News Magazine,” but I decided to do it on February 29, since that’s true to tradition.”

Fortunately, after all of Molly’s efforts, Paul said yes.
