My Bristol Favourites: Claudia Fragapane
Claudia Fragapane is a British artistic gymnast who grew up in Bristol. She has won medals at the Commonwealth Games and European Championships, and earned the biggest medal of her career with a bronze at the 2017 World Championships.
Away from gymnastics, Claudia has taken part in Strictly Come Dancing and earlier this year became charity champion of Above & Beyond, the hospital charity which raises funds for the nine Bristol city centre hospitals. On Wednesday next week, Claudia will be delivering presents to patients at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Here are Claudia’s top-five Bristol favourites:
is needed now More than ever
Bristol Hippodrome
“If you grow up in Bristol, the Hippodrome is a huge part of your childhood. It always has really good touring productions and it’s a great place to see all the Strictly stars with their own shows.”
Aspects Leisure Park

“I train hard and travel a lot to competitions so spending time with my family is really important to me. Aspects in Longwell Green is where I take my young niece and nephew to the cinema.”
Turtle Bay
“I was really excited when Turtle Bay restaurants opened in Bristol. I love the simple Caribbean street food and, of course, the cocktails are amazing, so it’s a great place to go with my friends!”
Cabot Circus

“I absolutely love to shop and there’s really no better place for it in Bristol than Cabot Circus.”
Nando’s
“This one isn’t specific to Bristol but Nando’s one of my favourite places to eat as it’s one of the fast food restaurants where it’s possible to get a healthy meal! It’s good to have lots of protein after the gym and it was one of my go-to options after my nine-hour long training days on Strictly!”
