Pinkmans

“I have a sweet tooth so Pinkmans on Park Street is just the perfect place to get my doughnut fix. The strawberry and cream filled doughnut tastes of heaven! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I love the space as well – it’s very cool.”

Wapping Wharf

“I get to travel a lot and see so many different cities but when the sun shines there’s no where better than being in Bristol by the water. I think what they have built at Wapping Wharf is just wonderful. Pigsty is a great place for breakfast, and the fish and chips at Salt & Malt fish and chips are divine!”

The Downs

“Getting off the subject of food, I’m very lucky that I live near the Downs. When I am home I love to go running around to the Sea Walls. It helps me clear my head and I have written many of my songs while on a loop around the Downs. Bristol is so fortunate to have such a big open space that’s so close to the city. I did an interview the other day though and the journalist called it “the meadow”. I like that; it made me chuckle.”

The Old Duke

The Old Duke is an iconic jazz and blues venue drenched in Bristol music history. I love that every night you can see live music, usually some of Bristol’s (and further afield’s) finest players. I have had many a great night playing and watching music here. It’s also such a great feeling to have played the same stage that my dad played some 45 years ago. I bet it hasn’t changed in almost half a century.”

Christ Church Clifton

“Having not gone to church for a very long time I remember walking in to Christ Church back in 2013 and it felt like I had come home. Since then it’s very much been my spiritual home which also houses a beautiful Steinway that I love to play. I’m very excited to be holding my album launch party there.”
