My Bristol Favourites: Holly Warden
Holly Warden, who grew up in Congresbury and went to Backwell School, is now about to begin her second season as a Miami Dolphins cheerleader. The NFL’s first British cheerleader will be at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, October 1 as the Dolphins take on the New Orleans Saints.
Here are Holly’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Bristol Hippodrome
is needed now More than ever
“When I was little I used to go and see the ballet every Christmas at the Bristol Hippodrome – it’s one of the landmarks of Bristol and it’s been there for years and years! I remember seeing The Nutcracker one year. It was amazing.”
Boulangerie
“I went up and down Park Street in central Bristol all the time when I was younger, and I’d get breakfast with my brother and sister at the bakery Boulangerie on Queen’s Road up near the top. My favourite item has to be the sausage roll.”
SS Great Britain
“I used to take the bus to Hotwells with my friends and we’d hang out near the Floating Harbour by the SS Great Britain. I often went there with my family as well. It’s such a pretty walk around the area, and we’d go on the boat sometimes too.”
Bluebell woods
“I always loved the bluebell woods which were out behind the back of our house growing up. Me and my brother and sister would often go out and explore the forest.”
Kismet
“There’s an Indian restaurant in my village called Kismet which is still one of my absolute favourites. My go-to order is the Chicken Korma, although the dish with coconut bread and their poppadoms are pretty great as well!”
