By Bristol24/7  Friday Dec 8, 2017

Lady Nade is one of four songwriter-singers – alongside Elles Bailey, Rosina Buck and Kate Dimbleby – all with very different styles, who will be showcasing their work in the round on Sunday, December 10 at The Folk House Cafe on Park Street.

For more information and to buy tickets to this unique evening of live music, visit www.folkhousecafe.co.uk/new-events/2017/12/10/folk-house-caf-in-the-round

Here are Lady Nade’s top-five Bristol favourites:

“An independent and ethical fish and chip shop, Soul Fish on Gloucester Road cook food from scratch using fresh natural ingredients. In a sea shell, de- fishous! See what I did there? The team also help some of the world’s poorest communities to feed their children and break the poverty cycle through Bristol based micro-finance charity Deki, and punters contribute to this every time they eat at Soul Fish.”

Salt Cafe

Christmas Steps Arts Quarter

The Christmas Steps Arts Quarter covers quite the spectrum of my favourite things. A few top spots include:

Chance & Counters
Bristol’s first and only dedicated board game cafe. Over 600 games to choose from, plus craft ales and ciders, speciality coffee and fresh, simple food.

20th Century Flicks
A collection of over 20,000 titles on DVD, and you can hire the cinema for a private mini party which seats 11 people.

Workhouse Cafe
Independent, laid back, friendly, organic and locally seasoned food, vegan and veggie options, local homegrown and seasonal produce.

“That’s food, gaming, drink and movie time sorted!”

Spike Island Cafe

“If you’re a fan of food (you can probably tell I am from my favourites picks all consisting of food) then situated in the renowned Spike Island is a highlight. Spike Island Cafe use organic and locally sourced ingredients to make delicious and wholesome dishes. Their menu changes with the seasons and includes their homemade soups, bread, savoury tarts, casseroles, curries, dahls, falafels… the list goes on. The staff are friendly and also host secret ( the cat’s out the bag) intimate music nights for those who are signed up to their mailing list.”
