Is this Bristol’s most Bristol tattoo?
Balloons, the Suspension Bridge and the ss Great Britain all feature on one student’s first ever tattoo.
April Henry from Fishponds wanted to express in ink how much she loves her home city of Bristol and helped to design the tattoo herself, which took two-and-a-half-hours to complete on her forearm.
is needed now More than ever
“I have loved Bristol all my life,” 18-year-old student April says. “Bristol is just the best city, so I wanted to get myself a tattoo that represents what I’m about.
“I wanted it to represent my life. I love it. I look at it all the time!”
April says that she has always wanted a tattoo, and often used to draw on her arm.
Her new tattoo has been drawn in fine lines, and also features a heart made from ropes, a rose and hands that to April symbolise friendship.
“I love having a piece of art that will never ever be removed,” April adds. “It will always remind me of where I love the most.”
