These are Alysaa’s top-five Bristol favourites:

Chance & Counters

“If you’re like me and you love board games, you have to go to Chance & Counters on Christmas Steps. It’s one of my favourite places for meeting up with friends and they also serve amazing food too. A huge shout out to the lovely people who work there, who somehow remember how to play the hundreds of board games available. I don’t know how they do it, but I am always so impressed!”

Birdcage Walk

“There are so many great green spaces in Bristol, but this walkway beneath the trees has to be one of my favourites. In the summer it really comes to life. It is such a peaceful place to walk through.”

Smaller Footprints

Smaller Footprints is a zero-waste shop in Clifton Village which has been an absolute saviour for me during lockdown. With more time on my hands, I’ve been cooking a lot and it’s been great to be able to buy everything I need (including elusive ingredients like flour!) locally.”

Salt & Malt

Salt & Malt definitely stands out as one of the best places to eat at Wapping Wharf by miles. Honestly, their battered halloumi is every vegetarian’s dream! Plus there’s nothing quite like sitting next to the Floating Harbour on a sunny evening while eating your chippy tea.”

Boyce’s Avenue

“I remember walking through this picturesque spot when I visited a friend before I moved to Bristol. It was a sunny day and I felt like I was on holiday! I often go to Boyce’s Avenue to buy my fruit and veg from the legendary Reg the Veg and more often than I probably should, I like to treat myself to a cake from ANNA.”
