My Bristol Favourites: Callum Parsons
Former UK Barista Championships finalist Callum Parsons is the co-founder of coffee roasters Fire & Flow, who have recently launched an industry first: developing a coffee focused towards making plant-based drinks.
Callum and his team set themselves the task of developing this coffee to work perfectly with oat milk so consumers would not be able to taste the difference from a dairy-based coffee.
Fire & Flow’s new blend contains speciality coffees from Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Brazil, with all of the company’s new coffees also coming with oat milk tasting notes as standard to help coffee lovers understand the flavours in the cup.

These are Callum’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Wiper & True taproom

“Man, I miss this spot! Even my wife said she misses sitting out in the cold under the heaters drinking some best-in-class beers from Wiper & True! It’s always a great place to bump into friends from around Bristol. An amazing team behind the bar make this a firm fave of mine!
Narroways

“A great spot in St Werburgh’s for a summer evening looking out on the view of Bristol. I’ve now added it to my lockdown running route for the feel good feels (and slight pain as I’m painfully unfit).
Wapping Wharf

“I know Wapping Wharf is already a classic cliche, but I can go there fancying anything to eat or drink and I’ll be able to try something different every time. Probably some of the best food in Bristol in this compact area.”
The Wave
“My dad is a surf coach at The Wave and my cousin was the architect behind the award winning buildings. What more do I need to love it? It’s also the happiest place in Bristol. Everyone there is having a great time!”
Dicky’s Barbershop

“I love jumping in the chair at Dicky’s Barbershop in St Paul’s and chilling for an hour. Dicky and Joe are great guys. Always top chats and sweet cuts! You always feel like you have had the full works when you leave. Epic levels of detail.”
