My Bristol Favourites: Chloe Fella
Chloe Fella is a barista at Interlude on St Micheal’s Hill, which is open from Monday to Friday and some Sundays, with planning currently underway for a few special ‘Twixtmas’ events which will likely involve tinsel.
Chloe trained as a chef before finding her way into coffee, previously working at Full Court Press on Broad Street; and she loves nothing more than eating out with her food accompanied by a bottle of natural wine.
These are Chloe’s top-five Bristol favourites:
is needed now More than ever
The Clifton

“Since reopening after a recent takeover, The Clifton in Clifton Village is a pub I love! A weekly treat of a cold pint of Guinness and a couple of bar snacks. For a mid-week meal out, The Clifton is a perfect spot with large sharing cuts of meat, whole fish and a forever changing seasonal main menu all cooked over fire. With a super relaxed atmosphere it’s a great place to sit, enjoy a pint and hang out with friends.”
Bristol Northern Soul Club
“The first Saturday of every month I love heading down to the Old Market Assembly for the monthly Bristol Northern Soul Club event. My first evening of endless dancing was with my Ukrainian friend Romana who had never heard of Northern Soul before we went. Romana fell in love immediately with her surroundings and now travels from London monthly expecially for us to go here together. The enthusiastic dancers and DJs provide a night of pure joy!”
Fat Rice

“Fat Rice is a market stall found at all markets across Bristol. Fat Rice serves Malaysian comfort food, with owner Kit cooking incredibly with the biggest smile on his face the whole time. His braised pork belly with rice and pickles is a delicious lunch treat.”
Ruby Hue

“The best chocolate in town in my opinion, Ruby Hue in Finzels Reach is a dream. A captivating bean-to-bar chocolate makers and cafe with 70s-style decor and a logo to match. Co-owners Ruth and Tom are so knowledgeable and passionate about their craft of delivering high quality, ethically sourced chocolaty delights. This is also a little chocolate factory in the centre of town where the whole process is done from start to finish by Ruth. Ruby Hue’s rich, complex, and super indulgent chocolate is a delight after a long day at work.”
1B Pitville

“On weekends when in need of caffeine, I always pop over to 1B Pitville for a cup of delicious batch. All the staff make this cafe on Cotham Hill feel like an extended home that’s always brimming with regular customers. They also serve the most outrageous grilled cheese sandwich with homemade pickles, all made in-house. With the coffee always changing, you’ll always be in for a treat!”
