Here are his Bristol favourites:
Bokman

Bokman do amazing Korean food. The Ban Chan, a picked veg selection, looks beautiful and is wonderfully delicious, with really incredible flavours.
Everything on their menu is great; I’ve worked through all of it over a few recent visits. Everyone that works there is lovely. And Snooker legend Steve Davis was in there last time I went.
Cube Cinema

Great value, friendly and extremely well curated. I generally go to the Cube for the weirder and more wonderful films (shout out to Hellfire Video Club). It’s great for gigs too.
BS5

I moved to St George a few years ago and really love it there. A great mix of people, good pubs and cafes and possibly the best Thai in Bristol: the Dark Horse, the Bristol Loaf, Siamsmile Thai.
There’s a shop called Stuff and a chippy called Oh My Cod!, a wonderful park and a recent (vandalised and currently covered) Banksy. It’s great to drop down to the river or up to Troopers Hill for a walk with great views and some peace and quiet.
Small Gigs

Although we’re not blessed with a really great larger venue in Bristol – hurry up Colston – we’re spoiled for choice with smaller capacity rooms with no lack of local promoters filling up their dairies with excellent and diverse shows and events.
I love the Crofters Rights, Cafe Kino, Exchange, Rough Trade, the Louisiana, the Old England are some of my favourites to catch new artists.
Art

On the street, in galleries, open studios, art trails, in bars, generally all over the place; Bristol must surely have a higher per capita number of creatives than most UK cities.
I need artistic input regularly and thankfully there are plenty of choices to feed my soul/addiction. I’m greedy for the all the arts!
