These are Emma’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Bristol Zoo
“I absolutely love animals and animal conservation, and I love that there is a zoo bang in the middle of Clifton! My partner and I are members of both Bristol Zoo and Wild Place Project, which is such a gorgeous space to go for a walk, plus animals! A big yes from me!”
Longwell Green
“Longwell Green is where I bought my first home so it holds a special place in my heart! I only live a couple of roundabouts away now, and I love that there’s a cinema just round the corner!”
Bristol & Bath Railway Path
“I live right next to the Bristol & Bath Railway Path and over lockdown I finally learned to ride and bought my own bike! (I know, it’s taken me forever to learn but I’ve been so involved with my music!) I have found such a love for the path. The Mangotsfield station area is just so lovely!”
Southville
“I used to work in Southville and I just love the vibe of North Street, with gorgeous coffee shops and the Tobacco Factory. There’s just a lush community feel in that area of south Bristol.”
Bristol Hippodrome

“I adore theatre and love going to the Bristol Hippodrome. I miss it so much at the moment! I have also got so many memories around the centre: the lush Italian, Ciao on Denmark Street, almost opposite the Hippodrome’s stage door; sitting by the water on a sunny day; nights out at Popworld; the dessert place, Creams, on Baldwin Street opposite Popworld (oh my god, the best end to a night out ever!); the best gyros at Taka Taka on Rupert Street; and the board game cafe, Chance & Counters, just a little walk away at the bottom of Christmas Steps Bristol is always buzzing with creativity. I cannot wait for things to return to normal and the music scene to reinvigorate the streets of the city; hopefully with a few gigs in it for me!”
