My Bristol Favourites: Gabriella Papp
Hungary-born Gabriella Papp is 2016’s Miss Bristol International and will be representing the city at a national beauty pageant in July.
As a professional model, Gabriella has worked internationally for the likes of Calvin Klein (below), Armani and Chanel.
She has spent the last six months supporting charities and business initiatives in her Miss Bristol International role.
Here are Gabriella’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Gloucester Road
“I recently moved to Filton Avenue and I seem to have become a bit obsessed with Gloucester Road! I love going for a wander and taking in all the wonderful characters and goings on. It’s packed with quirky shops, independents and lovely little coffee shops and I think it really represents what a diverse and exciting place Bristol is.”
Harbourside
“You can’t live in Bristol without absolutely loving the harbourside! One of my favourite things to do is sit in one of the waterfront bars on a sunny day with a glass of wine. There’s always something going on there and events like the Harbour Festival and Grillstock are some of the best in the world. I think it’s easy to forget how lucky we are to have it on our doorstep.”
St Peter’s Hospice
“Since becoming Miss Bristol International I have worked with several local charities which has been wonderful. St Peter’s Hospice in particular has really struck a chord with me. I was lucky enough to visit the hospice in Brentry and I saw what an inspiring place it is. The hospice is so positive and uplifting and it has a really special feel to it. I’m pleased to be supporting the charity at some events this summer and I look forward to visiting again soon.”
Cabot Circus
“I’m a bit of a shopaholic and being in the fashion industry for so many years means I regularly have to get my fix of shoes and handbags. Cabot Circus is great for shopping but I also love Broadmead, Park Street, The Mall, Stokes Croft… I could go on!”
Bristol International Balloon Fiesta
“I’m originally from Hungary and before moving to Bristol I lived and worked in Miami and Asia. My first summer in Bristol I went to the Balloon Fiesta and it was the best thing I’d ever seen! I fell in love with it and will go every year I possibly can from now on.”
