My Bristol Favourites: Jack Taylor
All-rounder Jack Taylor is Gloucestershire Cricket vice-captain. Gloucestershire head to Lord’s next week to take on Middlesex in the County Championship. Their next home game at the Brightside Ground is against Essex on May 20, followed by a floodlit game against Hampshire on May 25.
Here are Jack’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Tradewind Espresso
is needed now More than ever
“I’m quite into my coffee and breakfast so myself and my partner go to Tradewind Espresso on Whiteladies Road fairly often – we’re in there probably once or twice a week. It’s our favourite spot, so if anyone pops in there at the weekend we’ll probably be there.”
The Downs
“We’ve just recently got a dog so the Downs is great. We tend to take the little mutt out for a walk out there.”
Bosco
“Bosco is another place on Whiteladies Road that I love. They do fantastic wood-fired pizzas and great Italian food, and you can sit up at the bar and they cook it in front of you. They do really good salads there as well so you don’t feel quite as guilty and it’s just a good atmosphere generally.”
Mbargo
“We’re going back a few years now but I would say for a good night out, the old combination would have been to start in Racks in Clifton for a couple and then onto Mbargo.”
Kings Weston House
“Kings Weston House is right next to where we live. It has a really nice park within the grounds, which is great if you want to go and have a little wander.”
