These are just a few of Kit’s recommendations from the guide:

Tomo No Ramen

Tomo No Ramen began as a pop-up before opening permanently – photo by Ellie Pipe

“There are a few places selling ramen in Bristol, but none take it as seriously as James in Tomo No Ramen. Definitely the best in Bristol for ramen!”

Squeezed

Squeezed is simply the best! Their current special The Shell is absolutely delicious. We’ve been visiting since Alex first started and it’s still our favourite burger place.

Laura’s Pizza

Laura Stone studied at City of Bristol College and worked in fine dining restaurants in the UK and the USA, learning how to make pizza in New York before setting up her own pizza business in Bristol – photo: Laura’s Pizzas

“We first had Laura’s Pizza during lockdown when she was operating out of her home and ever since her business has gone from strength to strength and now occupies a kitchen unit off Gloucester Road. Her pizzas are simply amazing!”

Full Court Press

Full Court Press is my go-to for anything coffee. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to explain the ever changing coffee beans on offer. A true Bristol gem!”

Rice & Things

The smell of the cooking from outside Rice & Things is familiar to anyone who has walked along Cheltenham Road – photo: Martin Booth

“The jerk chicken at Rice & Things is next level. So smoky (charcoal grilled, not baked – a cardinal sin!) and so well marinated. A well deserved Bristol institution!”
