Here are Lee’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Mark’s Bread

A sesame and semolina loaf from Mark’s Bread
“Our Saturday morning ritual is to head over to Mark’s Bread on North Street and pick up a sesame and semolina loaf. I might also pick up a gingerbread man to eat before I get home, but please don’t tell my wife.”
Lost &Grounded
“Lost & Grounded are my favourite brewery in Bristol and their space in St Anne’s is great to have a beer in. There’s always something special about enjoying a pint in the same place it was brewed and I love sitting among the massive stainless steel tanks with mates while we drink.”
River Avon towpath
“I only took up running about a year ago as sitting in places like the Lost & Grounded brewery started to take its toll on my waistline, and this track under the Clifton Suspension Bridge is my favourite spot for a jog. It’s never too busy and it’s great to see the incredible engineering feat of Brunel’s bridge from the ground.”
Freedog

A five and under ‘toddler bounce’ session at Freedog
“With two young kids, we’re always looking for places to tire them out at the weekend and Freedog near Temple Meads makes parenting a breeze. The early morning weekend sessions for kids are fantastic; ou just let them bounce off for an hour, safe in the knowledge that everything is made of foam and no one is going to hurt themselves (until they bump heads with each other).
The Hot Sauce Emporium

“An extremely warm welcome is guaranteed, as is an even warmer exit should you choose to sample any of our amazing fiery products,” promise the Hot Sauce Emporium team
“If you’re a hot sauce fan then the Hot Sauce Emporium in St Nick’s Market is a real godsend. Some of the bottles look absolutely terrifying but if you’re brave enough look past the insane Scoville ratings and images of fire, you can find some delicious sauces from all around the world.”
