is needed now More than ever
Upfest

“I absolutely love all of the wonderful street art that Southville and Bedminster have to offer. Strolling through North Street, admiring artists creating amazing murals for the Upfest festival is one of my annual highlights. Taking a walk through BS3, you never know what new graffiti and street art you’ll stumble across.”
Fed 303

“My favourite culinary discovery of 2020 was Fed 303. This Gloucester Road cafe is my new go-to weekend brunch destination and offers delicious, healthy brunch options. Whether you’re after a salad box or some sweet treats, Fed 303 has you covered. My personal highlight is their vegan chocolate cake – which is hands down the best cake I have ever tasted!”
The Fleece
“One thing I’ve been missing the most during Covid is going to concerts and seeing live music. The Fleece is a wonderful indie venue that has been going since 1982 and hosted the likes of Radiohead, Oasis and Amy Winehouse. If you’re a fan of 90s hip hop, keep an eye out for this venue; I’ve been fortunate enough to see Souls of Mischief here.”
Workout Bristol
“This indie venue proves that gyms don’t have to be scary. They’re doing a great job providing a safe and functional space to exercise at really fair prices. Whether it’s spin classes or a squat rack you’re after, Workout Bristol on North Street in Bedminster has it all! My favourite part about this gym has to be the staff – Craig and the team are the most welcoming!”
The Bristol Loaf
“When I first moved to Bristol, I was on a mission to find the perfect bakery (and the perfect croissant). The Bristol Loaf bread and pastries have become a firm staple in diet. I love their slow food concept and the fact that their breads are never packaged in cellophane or plastic. Their Church Road bakery is also right next to St George’s Park which is my favourite spot to have a picnic!”
