These are Lucy’s top-five Bristol favourites:

Lona Grill House

Alongside its abundant food menu, Lona has dozens of different juices, smoothies and milkshakes – photo: Lona

Lona on Gloucester Road has the best Lebanese food in Bristol (my partner is Lebanese and so they would know). It’s traditional Lebanese food and the atmosphere there stays true to the culture, not to mention the incredible ceiling!”

The Olive Shed

The Olive Shed opened in 2001 specialising in freshly prepared tapas – photo: Olive Shed

“It goes without saying that you get the best harbourside view at the Olive Shed, but it’s also the best place for tapas. The food is absolutely delicious and they’re part of First Table – so winner-winner!”

The Banana Boat

“There’s something really satisfying about shopping at your local fruit and veg shop. And it just so happens that the Banana Boat in Totterdown has the best local produce around! Two punnets of raspberries for £1 – bargain!”

Perrett’s Park

Perrett’s Park in Knowle, was purchased by the council from Lady Smyth of Ashton Court for £1,000 in 1923. £500 of this was provided by councillor CR Perrett, hence the park’s name – photo: Martin Booth

“Whether it’s balloons in the sky or fireworks on Bonfire Night, Perrett’s Park in Knowle is the place for the best views across Bristol.”

“Obviously Wake The Tiger is going to be in my top five! Where else can you go to get an out of this world experience and then grab some food and drink? And with OUTERverse ready to take off, it’s completely mind-blowing!”
